About The Position

C2 seeks a Simulator Maintenance Technician I to work closely with and under the supervision of the Shift Lead to maintain C-17 flight simulators and/or maintenance trainers. Summary The Simulator Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operational readiness of C-17 flight simulators and maintenance trainers. This entry-level role includes performing routine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and assisting in system diagnostics and modifications under guidance.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
• Entry-level position; previous hands-on technical experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (for logging/tracking maintenance tasks).
• Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Must have current SECRET-level security clearance or the ability to obtain an interim SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on C-17 flight and maintenance simulators.
• Apply basic knowledge and reference manuals to address technical issues and system problems.
• Receive training on simulator systems and subsystems.
• Assist with diagnosing and correcting simulator faults.
• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
• Log and track all maintenance actions using a maintenance management system.
• Perform pre- and post-flight activities on simulators.
• Conduct visual alignments and simulator testing.
• Support simulator modifications, enhancements, and administrative/housekeeping tasks.
