This position supports virtual battlefield simulation operations by managing the full lifecycle of training events, from initial system setup through post-exercise review, ensuring that every training event is immersive, technically sound, and aligned with defined learning objectives. As a VBS3 Simulation Operator, you will configure and operate the Virtual Battlespace 3 platform across all phases of a training exercise, including scenario construction, real-time mission management, AI scripting, and after-action review facilitation. During exercises, you will actively shape the training experience by assuming entity roles, introducing dynamic injects, and making live adjustments to challenge trainees and reinforce learning outcomes. You will also ensure network connectivity and interoperability with C4I systems, enabling integrated and distributed training across multiple locations. Outside of scheduled events, you will perform routine system maintenance and provide hands-on instruction to Soldiers on simulation system use. Candidates must possess a high school diploma with a minimum of seven years of military or simulation center experience in fire support operations, at least one year of experience operating the CFFT III and its immersive variants, one year of VBS3 scenario development experience, and an active Secret security clearance.
