Simulation Lab Coordinator
About The Position
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Simulation Lab Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL. The Simulation Lab Coordinator plays a key role in supporting high-quality clinical education by managing the daily operations of simulation and skills lab spaces. This position ensures equipment readiness, coordinates scheduling, and assists faculty with the setup and delivery of simulation activities. The coordinator helps implement established protocols and safety standards, orients students and faculty to lab procedures, and maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment. Additionally, the role involves documentation of learner performance, effective communication with stakeholders, and collaboration with the Simulation Operations Specialist to ensure smooth and efficient session delivery.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

- PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS REQUIRED: Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass all employment screenings prior to the start of employment. Employment screenings may include a criminal background check (level I and level II), motor vehicle check, credit check, reference checks, alcohol, and drug screening check.

- Background in a healthcare or clinical setting, such as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Respiratory Therapist, or a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and scheduling of simulation and skills lab spaces.
- Maintain equipment readiness and coordinate troubleshooting with technical staff.
- Support faculty with setup, teardown, and staging of clinical simulations and skills sessions.
- Follow and help implement established simulation protocols, safety practices, and accreditation standards.
- Orient students and faculty to lab procedures, equipment usage, and expectations.
- Ensure rooms are properly stocked, staged, cleaned, and reset for each activity.
- Assist with documentation related to learner performance, checklists, and scenario materials.
- Maintain effective communication with faculty, staff, and students regarding lab activities.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement processes for simulation operations.
- Coordinate workflow with Simulation Operations Specialist and faculty for smooth session delivery.
