A Day in the Life The Simulation and AHA Support Specialist plays a key supporting role in the simulation lab by ensuring that the lab is organized, and equipment is accounted for, accessible and secure. Ensures that instructors are appropriately trained on the use of simulation equipment. The Simulation and AHA Support Specialist works under the Simulation Lab Senior Coordinator to assure the operation of the lab. The Simulation/AHA Support Specialist conducts simulation scenarios and monitors and controls high-end equipment for use in the simulation lab and classrooms. The technician serves as a caretaker for all simulation manikins and high-level instructional equipment and software. Demonstrates competency with understanding healthcare-related clinical functions. The Simulation/AHA Support Specialist helps to coordinate American Heart Association classes including scheduling, course assignments, and after-course administrative tasks. Works with the American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator to support Training Site Coordinator tasks. Maintains System wide inventory of AHA equipment.
