About The Position

Maintains residential simplex pump units and work with Plant Maintenance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be reachable and be available for emergency call out.
• Must have transportation to and from work.
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Requires a valid Arkansas driver's license, and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working on residential simplex pump systems.
• Work in varying weather conditions, from ladders and in confined spaces.
• Reports problems to Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate and work with the general public and staff in a polite manner.
• Assists staff and other departments as directed.
• Basic ability to locate streets, addresses, and water and sewer lines on maps.
• Responsible for responding to customer requests and complaints and completing work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Responsible for operating in accordance with Local, State, Federal Regulations, and Public Utilities Policies and Procedures.
• May be required to work periodically for other divisions as directed.
• Follow all Property Owners' Association (POA) policies and safety rules.
• Regular attendance is required and required to be on time to work.
• Required to be available for standby duty and work after hours and weekends.
• Operate and trouble shoots pump controls
• Other duties as assigned.
• Required to work in varied weather conditions.
