About The Position

The Silk Screener position is responsible for printing lettering and designs with a screen-printing device on products both manually and through the use of an automated silk press. This position would help support our production facility in Fort Smith, AR during our 1st shift operations, working Monday-Friday from 5:45 AM CST until 4:15 PM CST.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and one (1) or more years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess knowledge of the different types of materials and their characteristics and flaws for quality acceptability.
  • Demonstrate basic mathematics, reading, writing, and comprehension as well as communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to shift priorities.
  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up machine to ensure proper location on part being screened.
  • Ensure position of objects against guides on setup board or holding fixture of screening device.
  • Places proper ink into screen frame. When hand screening, draws squeegee across screen to transfer design to object.
  • Remains alert for in-process product imperfections and bring them to the supervisor's attention.
  • Cleans screen as required during the production run, at the end of run, and when using different colors.
  • Must record the quantity that has been processed, and compare it to the work order quantity, before releasing order for next operation. Discrepancies should be reported to the supervisor or lead person.
  • Move work to the proper staging area(s) within the department after completion.
  • Exercise safety procedures to prevent injury to oneself and coworkers, and to prevent damage to equipment.
  • Read and check off daily safety operation procedures before starting the machine.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
