About The Position

Summary: The Sign Technician is responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of signage and exterior lighting across Company retail locations. This role participates in the ongoing implementation, execution, maintenance and measurement of all signage elements. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares work area for installation of equipment. Installs or helps install electric and non-electric signage. Operates hand tools such as drills, saws, grinders, routers, etc. Operates and maintains aerial equipment and tools. Fuses pieces of metal together to join metal parts, fill holes, or fix seams in metal. Supports and facilitates organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication. Embodies personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and humanistic interactions. Continuously volunteers discretionary effort and models desired behaviors to drive business results while also leveraging and respecting separate realities. Requirements

Must be able to read and interpret blueprint & electrical drawings to install as specified.
Verifies dimensions, alignments & clearances per drawings or plans.

100% daily travel is required; some overnight travel required.
Irregular hours and weekends will be required according to the needs of the business.
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to constantly withstand heights and confined spaces.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, drive and use keyboard.
Lift/pull up to 50+lbs repeatedly.
Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions and machinery.
Complex reading, writing and math skills.
Complex speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.
General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), Distance Vision (>20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.
Normal (<85dB) noise levels and/or Loud (>85dB) noise levels on occasion.
Regularly & repetitively use both feet and both hands.
General working conditions include wet/humid/steam conditions not created by weather, slippery floors, hot grease, working with mechanical parts and machinery including machinery that contains moving parts, toxic/caustic chemicals, concentrated soaps & cleaning solutions, asbestos exposure, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat/cold, confined areas, pressurized equipment, Oxygen/Acetylene, Cylinders, CO2 Cylinders, electrical equipment, vibration, possible flying debris, flashing/strobing lighting and work around vehicles in motion.
