About The Position

Collaborates with customers to understand their signage needs and preferences. Design and create custom signs using a variety of materials and techniques, fabricate signs using tools and equipment in workshop. Install signs at customer locations with attention to detail and precision. Mange multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization with four years experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Moderate level of knowledge in sign making, carpentry, and general construction skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree from an accredited college or university in graphic design, fine arts, or design and visual communication.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, develops layouts, fabricates, installs, or repairs interior and exterior signage and other identification or directional messaging devices. Assignments are performed in accordance with AU signage standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
