About The Position

Full-time Sign Installer, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, to be part of a professional sign installation team to insure APCO's interior and exterior signs are installed safely and properly, as directed by various building codes and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Mobile phone, text and internet related search and communication skills are required.
  • A good driving record and valid Georgia driver's license are required.
  • Mechanical ability and working knowledge of hand power tools including drills, saws and generator are critical.
  • The ability to read a tape measure and level accurately is critical.
  • The ability to read architectural drawings' and building floorplans accurately is critical.
  • Working knowledge of PSV (pressure sensitive vinyl) application techniques is important.
  • An eye for detail and good craftsmanship is vital.
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others is a must.
  • Being dependable, adaptable and self-motivated are a must!
  • Pass drug test and background check.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • The ability to climb ladders
  • The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • The ability to work in hot and cold conditions.
  • The ability to travel
  • Arm, hand, and body movements: grasping, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting, pushing up, pushing forward, and pressing downward

Responsibilities

  • Act at all times in a positive and professional manner to help APCO personnel, bring about a positive outcome in our efforts to serve our customers.
  • Conduct all APCO installation efforts in a safe manner when preparing for, in transit to, and while working on site.
  • Install signs per the appropriate design, code and/or customer specifications using various and appropriate mounting methods.
  • Provide written status reports after job completion indicating any outstanding issued needing to be resolved prior to project closeout.
  • Travel to various locations in the United States for installation projects. Overnight trips are to be expected.
  • Drive and assist in the maintenance of the APCO installation vans.
  • Maintain APCO provided installation tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized installation storage and staging area. Good housekeeping is a must.
