About The Position

KBR is seeking a technical member of a systems engineering team to support a critical project within the customer’s portfolio. The candidate will provide technical expertise supporting the acquisition, development, deployment, and operation of systems (hardware and software). The candidate will work as part of an integrated team including US Government employees, US Military, Federally Funded Research & Development Contract (FFRDC) and other SETA contractors. Why Join Us? Requirements

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Bachelors / 20+ Years; Masters / 15+ years; PhD / 10+ Years.
  • Experience with IC and/or Department of Defense (DoD) space and ground SIGINT architectures.
  • Fundamental understanding of DOD/IC satellite architectures and their operational employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be e􀆯ective in a government/contractor team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Space-based signals intelligence field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
  • Courses related to Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Digital Signal Processing.
  • Experience with Space systems, SIGINT Architecture’s, SIGINT payloads/hardware, SIGINT mission areas, SIGINT tasking, SIGINT signals/types and collection management.
  • Experience with other technical and electronic signals intelligence.
  • Experience using tools and applications such as Vintage Harvest, Digital Viewer Tools, Waveform Viewer Tools, and Asynchronous Digital Signal Processor.
  • Mission planning and analysis experience required.
  • Experience working with developers on the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) e..orts of space systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice/analysis on ground systems software requirements, design, installation, test, and operations support for the ground system’s command, control, configuration.
  • Provide technical and analytical support; development and integration of signals intelligence related requirements into an existing and/or planned systems to include size, weight, and power requirements for hosted USG platforms.
  • Manage and operate program specific Signals Intelligence capabilities.
  • Provide technical review of drawings, documents, design, manufacturing, integration, and test; provide formal and informal feedback to the COTR, Subject Matter Experts, and other customer personnel as required.
  • Guide system/capability requirements through their full system lifecycle from definition, allocation, derivation, verification, validation, and deployment.
  • Utilize software development tool suites to enable system capabilities.
  • Author and update critical systems engineering products including Technical Exchange summaries, requirements trace compliance products, Test and Analysis reports.
  • Proactively identify and assess emerging technical and programmatic risks at the system level and then work with the Subcontractor to develop and evaluate mitigation approaches.
  • Participate in and provide technical recommendations during design and program management reviews to assess maturity and requirements compliance to ensure the overall approach satisfies the operational requirement of the integrated system.
  • Using spectrum analyzer(s) to measure the magnitude of an input signal versus frequency within the full frequency range of the instrument; measure the power of the spectrum of known and unknown signals.
  • Understand how frequency, amplitude, and modulation parameters behave over short and long intervals of time.
