About The Position

BLOOD ASSURANCE is hiring a Sickle Cell Initiative Account Manager to develop partnerships with current and potential organizations to grow diverse blood collection that targets life-saving blood products for Sickle Cell disease patients. This position would be based out of the greater Chattanooga or greater Nashville area. The primary job responsibilities include calling on current and potential accounts who will help plan and support blood drives for collecting the life-saving blood products that patients in our communities need. Traveling 3-4 days per week within the territory with minimal overnight travel is required as is coordination and cooperation with operations teams in order to successfully meet monthly collection goals. Developing positive relationships with community and organization leaders are also critical to building support for our life-saving mission.

Requirements

  • Outside sales experience with a bachelor’s degree or prior related work experience
  • A high degree of creativity and positive energy with advanced problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Polished, professional and compassionate communication skills with ability to educate, influence, negotiate and secure business agreements
  • Self confidence in making group presentations to the public, business and community leaders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to be effective in a fast-paced, results-driven environment where conditions and circumstances can rapidly change
  • Data management and computer skills with advanced organizational skills to manage multiple tasks quickly and simultaneously
  • The ability to work independently as a self-starter who can get community partners excited about our life-saving mission and consistently meet blood collection goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service, retail, or event planning experience preferred
