About The Position

This role involves supporting the Shrink Printing Department by performing various duties such as operating machinery, cleaning, and handling non-hazardous materials. Key functions include operating and maintaining the parts washer, managing non-hazardous waste with onsite distillation equipment, and ensuring the department is clean and safe. The associate will also handle trash and scrap removal, restock materials for press and prepress, operate a floor scrubber, assist with general facility housekeeping, and act as a backup for the press helper when needed. The position requires strong accountability, clear communication, customer focus, effective execution, a willingness to innovate, ownership of tasks, role proficiency, and a commitment to safety and compliance, all while working effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma equivalent
  • Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis
  • Must communicate in both verbal and written matters
  • Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production

Responsibilities

  • Perform all job duties associated with supporting the Shrink Printing Department.
  • Operate machinery.
  • Clean.
  • Handle non-hazardous material.
  • Operate the parts washer and all tasks associated with supplying the press with clean parts for production.
  • Perform routine preventative tasks on the parts washer that maintains the unit to ensure that the equipment is always ready for production.
  • Proper handling of all non-hazardous materials (i.e. waste) leaving the department and processing of waste materials with onsite distillation equipment.
  • Removal of all trash and scrap from the department to the appropriate destinations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Check on-hand materials for press and prepress (i.e. tapes, cores) and restock as needed.
  • Operate floor scrubber in production areas as scheduled.
  • Assist with general facility housekeeping.
  • Act as backup for the press helper in the event additional staffing is needed in the department.
