Provides engineering and design services to manufacturing and engineering groups. Assists with developing concepts, designs and details for machines, tools, fixtures, and products. Under direct supervision, responsible for aiding in the design and development of new products which have limited scope and complexity, which support developmental/DePuy goals and objectives. Can be part of a development team and may aid in coordinating prototype production and solving design related problems. Performs all aspects of job demonstrating the J&J Standards of Leadership.

Requirements

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar discipline
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• familiarity with working in a regulated industry
• communications skills
• experience working in cross-functional teams
• working with surgeons
• good documentation practices
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
• Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Shoulders or Joint replacement
• Experience with Computer Aided Design software
• Manufacturing engineering experience, tolerance analysis
• Microsoft Office tools
