About The Position

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Provide Team Lead support in the Allentown facility. Responsible for monitoring and steering the flow of production orders. Able to support in all Shop Floor departments when needed or directed by supervisor. Will report inventory issues to direct supervisor and inventory control. Use SAP in NP1 & TP1 systems included to but not limited to Production, Shipping, Put-away, and Inventory. Operate packaging equipment used to support packaging processes. Palletize, label, weigh, and wrap outbound shipments. Distribute work to the hourly employees and temporary staff as instructed by the warehouse supervisor and management team. Support the supervisor to ensure staff meets safety, quality, production, housekeeping, and cost objectives. Coordinate the tasks of warehouse associates to ensure daily and monthly performance targets are being met as addressed in daily production meetings by the warehouse supervisor or in other communication by management. Follow lean principles to create process improvements and support the 5S program, support audits and training of employees. Support visual management in the work areas, ensure KPI’s are posted, visual management rules are followed, areas are clearly marked. Ensure that standard work instructions are posted at workstations and being followed by associates. As needed, identify the need and conduct training to co-workers and maintain training records as defined by company policies for both regular full time and temporary staff. Escalate any productivity or performance issues, safety concerns or concerns about working conditions to the warehouse supervisor. Communicate via email and face to face to all departments and management when issues arise. Participate in relevant department meetings as an attendee and as a delegate in place of supervisor as needed. Support all operational and company decisions made by your supervisor and management. Ensure all safety and OSHA guidelines and requirements are met and report any deviation to your supervisor and/or management immediately.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Needs to be in good standing with current company policies.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with SAP.
  • Minimum of 3 years AUMOVIO experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Forklift experience at a minimum of 3-5 years.
