About The Position
William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Shop Yard Associate for our Springfield office. The Shop Yard Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day activities as directed by Management. The employee will regularly work in a shop/yard environment but will also be required to work outside in all kinds of weather. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and have good public relation skills
- Good organizational skills
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities
- Light carpentry skills
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee will regularly work in a shop/yard environment but will also be required to work outside in all kinds of weather. Will also require lifting objects up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day activities in the shop yard.
- Assist in equipment moves.
- Unload, sort and store materials returned from job locations.
- Load job materials on truck for delivery to job locations.
- Dispose of obsolete materials.
- Transport job materials to job locations.
- Use of hand tools to perform carpentry work.
- Clean up tools returned from job locations.
- Maintain company buildings and grounds.
- OSHA 10 Hour Training provided on site.
- Forklift Training provided on site.
- Other duties as assigned.
