Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. The Role The Shop Technician II primarily works in the shop making repairs to equipment as required. In this role you would be the subject matter expert both in the shop and in the field. You will be responsible for training, mentoring, and assessing other technicians while exhibiting the highest level of execution and behavior expected of SPM Oil & Gas employees. Additional Information: Pay: Pay will start at $21.90/hour and can be adjusted based on experience Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with opportunity for overtime as business demands. Typically getting 10 hours a day. On call 24/7 (very flexible) Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

Requirements

  • One to three years of equivalent work experience or training
  • Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service
  • Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times
  • Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance
  • Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times
  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times
  • Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment
  • Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable
  • Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change
  • Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test equipment based on customer communications
  • Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain SPM Oil & Gas supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy
  • Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting
  • Available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs on special occurrences
  • Perform occasional required work in the field
  • Performs other duties as assigned
