About The Position

As a Shop Technician I in the Instrumentation and Control area, you will assemble, troubleshoot, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics. You will use hand tools, power tools, and a soldering iron. You will be responsible for multiple assignments to support electrical/I&C/mechanical assembly, repair, testing, and refurbishment of equipment, components, or tooling systems. You will report to the Assistant Area Manager for I&CE Operations and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
  • Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining

Responsibilities

  • Work with basic mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
  • Work with electrical equipment and painting methods, hand and power tool usage.
  • Apply knowledge of basic electronic theory and components to build or repair assemblies.
  • Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, connectors, or soldering.
  • Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.
