About The Position

Westinghouse is seeking a Shop Technician I, Electrical Test, to join an innovative team focused on providing clean energy solutions. This role involves supporting electrical/I&C/mechanical assembly, repair, testing, and refurbishment of equipment, components, or tooling systems. The position reports to the Assistant Area Manager, I&C Operations, and is based at the New Stanton, PA facility, requiring onsite presence 5 days per week. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

Nice To Haves

  • Nuclear industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret basic mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
  • Ability/knowledge of electrical equipment and/or painting methods, hand and power tool usage.
  • Use basic electronic theory and components to build or repair assemblies.
  • Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, connectors, or soldering.
  • Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.
  • Successfully complete and maintain applicable site-specific safety training including Electrical Safety; Radiation Safety; Hazards communications; Respiratory protection; Lifting/Handling; PPE Use, and any other required training. Complete certifications as applicable; train to job applicable procedures.
