About The Position

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the company's Clarksville, TX branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department and its employees; including all performance management, time-keeping, and safety procedures. Work with sales team and other Martin facilities to expedite shop orders through department. Coordinate with management/employees from other departments in the manufacturing process. Help team to maintain machines and work area in a clean and safe manner.

Requirements

  • Must be able to supervise Night Shift and be available before and after shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) Monday - Friday.
  • Technical College Degree and/or related work experience
  • Knowledge of manual conventional & CNC equipment strongly preferred
  • Requires consistent shop floor presence
  • Position involves hands on duties on conventional and CNC equipment
  • Must be able to multi-task on a consistent basis throughout the shift
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with machinists, supervisors, and managers
  • Requires good math skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
  • Requires ability to read and comprehend shop drawings
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Must have strong work ethics and excellent attendance
  • Must be able to follow the priorities
  • Must have ability to recognize potential situations and take appropriate actions
  • Must know and understand Compliance as it relates to regulations involving Safety and employment standards
  • Must be result oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of manual conventional & CNC equipment strongly preferred
