Position Summary Supports day-to-day maintenance operations by overseeing a team of technicians across one or more shifts. Supervises repair activities, coordinates shop workflows, and ensures compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language in order to perform the various tasks of the job, including but not limited to: converse with co-workers and members of the general public; understand oral and written instructions as well as governmental regulations; respond to questions and inquiries from management and government representatives; and accurately review and complete various documents, reports and records required of the position.

Nice To Haves

5+ years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably in a freight or logistics environment.
2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
Familiarity with diagnostic software and repair of brake systems, transmissions, and rear ends.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

Supervises shop technicians, including providing coaching, oversight, and daily work direction.
Assists with training and supporting the performance development and discipline of team members.
Monitors shop operations to ensure timely and quality completion of preventative maintenance and repairs.
Coordinates with the parts team to manage inventory levels and ensure availability of needed materials.
Provides hands-on instruction in diagnostic software, tools, and repair techniques to promote technician development.
Supports expense monitoring by reviewing trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborates with terminal personnel to prioritize equipment availability and readiness.
Ensures proper documentation and workflow approval for repair orders, including vendor and warranty work.
