The Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts and other warehouse equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment or Diesel mechanic, forklift experience is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • Experience with rebuilding transmissions, engines, and cylinders required or ground-up motor builds.
  • Ability to use voltmeters, ohm meters, and read electrical schematics
  • Must own basic hand tools (company provides specialty tools and equipment)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Pre-employment screening and physical required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on warehouse equipment
  • Service electric, diesel, internal combustion, and propane-powered equipment
  • Complete all required service documentation electronically within designated timeframes
  • Coordinate with the Parts team to ensure correct parts and documentation are available
  • Coordinate closely with Service Coordinators to optimize daily schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate work orders, and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all duties safely, efficiently, and promptly
