About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is a neighborhood go-to oil change spot with over 35 years of experience, known for friendly technicians, oil change expertise, and an efficient process. The company prides itself on allowing customers to stay in their vehicles during service. Take 5 is actively seeking friendly and energetic team members, including technicians and managers, across the country. The company offers a "Pit Tech to President" growth path, with over 90% of field leaders being internal promotions. This Shop Manager role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills within a growing team. While experience is valued, it is not required, and experienced managers can earn $55,000 a year or more with base salaries and bonus opportunities. Take 5 hires experienced leaders from various backgrounds, including other oil change shops, restaurants, and retail. For those without experience, opportunities as Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available. Paid training is provided to all new hires, covering shop management, oil changes, wiper blade/air filter replacement, tire air fills, and other light maintenance services. New managers will be accountable for their team's execution of Take 5 standards within 60 days.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
- Must have basic computer operating skills

Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, & training new crew members
- Creating crew schedules & submit payroll
- Controlling inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service
