About The Position

The Farm Shop Manager is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and management of all farm equipment. This includes ensuring vehicles such as tractors and other farming implements are properly maintained, serviced, and inspected daily. The role requires strict adherence to company safety guidelines during all job duties. The position involves working across all grove locations, with occasional service calls off-property. The manager will be exposed to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and weather, moving equipment, loud noises, dust, and a range of chemicals such as cleaners, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, fuel, lubricants, paint, and fertilizer. Physical demands include working in wet conditions and walking on challenging surfaces like soft sand and hard, rough, uneven ground. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment and possess excellent multi-media communication skills to comprehend and convey information effectively.

Requirements

• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in fast paced work environment.
• Multi-media communication skills, with excellent ability to comprehend and convey ideas and information.
• Ability to distinguish color wiring.
• Requires minimum vision standards, depth perception and adequate pulmonary function test.
• Two to three years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of farm equipment, fleet vehicles, machinery, and stationary irrigation units in a grove/nursery environment.
• Requires a valid CDL License with appropriate endorsements.
• Requires current air-conditioning certification.

Responsibilities
