About The Position

This position will assist the maintenance department by making and machining parts for various areas across the Greenhouse/Farm.

Requirements

• 1-year relevant work experience
• Comfortable occasionally working in heights above 6ft
• Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of precision measurement tools
• Experience operating a lathe, milling machine, drill press, or similar machinery
• Experience operating or willing to be trained on a forklift
• Self-motivated
• Welding experience, including mig, stick, and tig welding

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machine, lathe, drill press and other precision equipment
• Ensure an inventory of parts are on hand to shorten down time throughout the facility
• Ensure familiar with all areas of the greenhouse for quick response and support
• Repair and/or replicate machined parts
• Read drawings and be able to recreate exact items from the drawings
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Detail notetaking, including but not limited to precise measurements
• Update computer systems to view and close work orders
• Work with the shop team to maintain and a clean work area
• Other duties as assigned by management
