About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shop Lead for the production team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in metal fabrication and welding, along with a proven leadership background in a production environment. The facility primarily supports government-related projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Strong background in metal fabrication, including experience with manual machines
• Proficient in welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Must be a team player with the ability to motivate and guide others

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production personnel in a metal fabrication environment
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
• Provide hands-on support with manual machining and welding as needed
• Ensure quality standards are met for all projects, with a focus on government specifications
• Collaborate with management to improve productivity and resolve production issues
• Train and mentor team members to build skillsets and maintain a high-performing workforce
