Responsibilities Optimizes shop performance while providing a safe, clean, and organized working environment for mechanics. Performs daily inspections on company fork lifts and various shop equipment to ensure compliance with all OSHA rules and regulations regarding such equipment. Transports parts to and from Prime fabrication shop as required. Sweeping up shop floors, organizing parts shelves, receiving parts inventory, delivering pallets to other departments, and a variety of other daily tasks are all requirements for this position. Cleans the Plaza bays and restrooms within the bays Unloads freight and delivers it to proper departments Cleans fuel, dust, oil and grease from floors Help fuel trucks as needed Applies and cleans floor dry as needed Picks up resuable scrap for salvage and stores appropriately Washes windows and doors with power washer Empty trash cans and dumpsters as needed Replenish supplies Replace light bulbs Operate industrial truck to transport materials within facility Other work as required

Requirements

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have a strong work history.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required.
Candidate must be able to acquire a rolling toolbox and own tools once the training period has been completed.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, side reaching and foot/pedal control.
Candidate must be able to lift and carry 60lbs, push 45lbs, and pull 55lbs.
Steel toed footwear, and safety glasses, and ear protection are required in the shop.
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.

PRIME’s OSHA safety program and policies are designed to ensure the safety of all PRIME associates.
PRIME associates are at all times required to dutifully comply with any and all of PRIME’s OHSA safety requirements throughout the duration of their employ at PRIME.
The failure of any associate to abide by the safety requirements stated in this paragraph may subject the associate to the appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
