General Summary:

The Shop Help & Mechanic Assistant helps around the fleet shop to keep operations running smoothly. They assist with minor repairs and help keep inventory organized.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of related or progressive experience working in a shop environment preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• CDL license preferred
• Proven ability to work well with others
• Ability to be a self-starter

Responsibilities

• Keep shop and parts room clean, sweep and take trash out, maintaining the shop throughout the day
• Chase parts as needed for equipment repairs
• Deliver and take equipment to outside vendors for repairs
• Keep parts room organized and inventory stocked and put away
• Help and assist mechanics with repairs
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
