About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking Shop Hands for a full time position with a company in Broussard. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for overtime. Essential Duties: Perform duties ranging from check-in through load-out, including maintenance, wash mat operations, repair, rebuild, testing, and low-pressure servicing of equipment and materials. Receive and follow oral and written instructions from supervisors to complete projects. Load and unload material to/from pallets and baskets, by hand or using lifting equipment. Use a variety of tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment. Properly identify materials and distribute them to designated staging areas. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area daily. Perform simple adjustments and repairs to equipment as directed.

Requirements

  • Entry-level knowledge of oilfield-related activities and basic mechanical skills.
  • Previous rental tool experience is helpful.
  • Ability to pass DISA screenings and comply with random screenings while working as a temporary employee.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow directions and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must provide personal protective equipment: steel-toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses.
  • Heavy work classification; frequent exertion of up to 50 lbs.
  • Long periods of sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Pushing/pulling while exerting manual force.
  • Work performed outdoors with moving equipment.
  • Repetitive motions and manual handling of materials.
  • Manually tightening/loosening hammer-type union connections using a 4–12 lb. hammer.
  • Ability to work at a rapid but safe pace.
