About The Position
In an ever-changing world that requires both existing and renewable energy resources to thrive, the need for proven and experienced marine construction and commercial diving services continues to grow. The primary issue most engineers and developers face is finding companies that can provide not only a highly trained team of commercial divers, but also the type of project management expertise needed to work with local communities, complex work environments, and governmental regulations. Aqueos utilizes its subsea experience and proven track record of excellence, professionalism, and safety to provide marine construction, commercial diving, ROV, and vessel contracting services to the oil and gas, civil, decommissioning, and renewable energy sectors—ensuring that Aqueos remains a leader in technology, sustainability, and environmental accountability. We are seeking an experienced Shop Hand for our Ventura location. The Shop Hand is primarily responsible for supporting shop operations and assisting where needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a shop
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and/or ISO 45001:2018 environment a plus.
- Knowledge of air compressors, volume tanks, diving umbilical's, hydraulics, powered hand tools, painting, flatbed truck driving and forklift operations is preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and tools in the shop.
- Keep the shop and yard clean and organized.
- Assist the shop in tasks assigned.
- Set up and operate all equipment as directed by the Shop Manager.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Assist in work as required or directed.
- Load out of jobs in the Shop.
- Attend daily JSA meetings.
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 requirements by complying with the HSEQ Policy and procedures and meeting HSEQ objectives.
- Understand the implications of not conforming with the HSEQ Management System requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
