About The Position

Jeff Wyler CDJR of Lawrenceburg, IN has an immediate opening for a Shop Foreman. This position is responsible for distributing service work and ensuring that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. Requirements

Two years supervisory experience
Five years’ experience in vehicle repair and maintenance procedures
Ensure all technicians maintain all required training.
Maintain top CSI
Advanced knowledge of automotive mechanics and maintenance.
Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair.
Direct and supervise personnel and coordinate shop operations.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc.
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Dispatch all service work to the appropriate qualified technician.
Have experience utilizing electronic dispatching.
Ensure all repair orders written by service advisors are written with the clarity required to describe the work that needs to be done properly.
Make sure technicians are properly updating their orders (cause, required pre-diagnostics, etc)
Assist technicians in developing their skills.
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
Ensure that all department employees receive appropriate manufacturer training.
Ensure that all repairs are assigned to technicians equally and fairly.
Check the progress of each repair order throughout the day.
Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks.
Strive for harmony and teamwork within and with all other departments.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain a professional appearance.
