About The Position

Jeff Wyler CDJR of Lawrenceburg, IN has an immediate opening for a Shop Foreman. This position is responsible for distributing service work and ensuring that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Five years’ experience in vehicle repair and maintenance procedures
  • Ensure all technicians maintain all required training.
  • Maintain top CSI
  • Advanced knowledge of automotive mechanics and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair.
  • Direct and supervise personnel and coordinate shop operations.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch all service work to the appropriate qualified technician.
  • Have experience utilizing electronic dispatching.
  • Ensure all repair orders written by service advisors are written with the clarity required to describe the work that needs to be done properly.
  • Make sure technicians are properly updating their orders (cause, required pre-diagnostics, etc)
  • Assist technicians in developing their skills.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Ensure that all department employees receive appropriate manufacturer training.
  • Ensure that all repairs are assigned to technicians equally and fairly.
  • Check the progress of each repair order throughout the day.
  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork within and with all other departments.

  • Maintain a professional appearance.
