About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead our team in Phoenix, AZ. The Shop Foreman will oversee daily operations within the shop, ensuring efficient workflow, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team of technicians and laborers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and inventory management systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of shop personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shop staff to promote skill development and performance improvement.
• Inspect work for quality assurance and compliance with company standards.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; coordinate with procurement as needed.
• Collaborate with management to plan and implement process improvements.
• Prepare reports on shop activities, productivity, and personnel performance.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
