This position is the liaison between field jobs and the Fleet Department. This position is for 2nd Shift starting at 12PM daily. essential Duties and Responsibilities Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront. Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards. Performs labor, such as vehicle maintenance or product manufacturing, alongside his subordinates. Relays PM work orders, messages, and information to and from Mechanics and submits to Fleet Administrator. Reviews work orders and work assignments daily with Shop Superintendent. Directs all employees to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines at all times. Communicates directly with Sunland field supervisors, creates field work orders, completes, or facilitates completion and close out of the work order, resolves problems quickly to get production moving and meet deadlines. Conducts Safety Meetings to include daily PTP & weekly Tailgate Topics. Inspects equipment for damage or wear and cleaning and repair as needed. Contact an outside repair service if the maintenance can't be completed by staff, and negotiate services, and arrange a date and time for completion of the work. Attends weekly production meetings. Reviews scheduled Oil Sample Results and schedule repairs as needed. Orders parts and materials to complete a work order, or shop supplies as needed. Processes Fleet payable invoices promptly and accurately. Directs shop employees to maintain a clean and safe work environment and keep tools, equipment and work areas secured, organized and in good working condition. May perform basic administrative and clerical functions, which could include filing, copying, binding reports, simple typing, etc. Any and all other duties assigned. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Five (5) Years industry related experience preferred.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations encouraged.
Strong computer, written and oral skills required.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2) , including the ability to read and speak English, understand highway signs, respond to official inquiries, and make required entries on reports and records. To ensure Sunland Asphalt complies with this federal mandate, all 10K-CMV and CDL drivers will be required to complete and pass an English proficiency assessment.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record.
Must be able to pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
Must have basic tool set to perform preventative maintenance.
