This position is the liaison between field jobs and the Fleet Department. This position is for 2nd Shift starting at 12PM daily. essential Duties and Responsibilities Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront. Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards. Performs labor, such as vehicle maintenance or product manufacturing, alongside his subordinates. Relays PM work orders, messages, and information to and from Mechanics and submits to Fleet Administrator. Reviews work orders and work assignments daily with Shop Superintendent. Directs all employees to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines at all times. Communicates directly with Sunland field supervisors, creates field work orders, completes, or facilitates completion and close out of the work order, resolves problems quickly to get production moving and meet deadlines. Conducts Safety Meetings to include daily PTP & weekly Tailgate Topics. Inspects equipment for damage or wear and cleaning and repair as needed. Contact an outside repair service if the maintenance can't be completed by staff, and negotiate services, and arrange a date and time for completion of the work. Attends weekly production meetings. Reviews scheduled Oil Sample Results and schedule repairs as needed. Orders parts and materials to complete a work order, or shop supplies as needed. Processes Fleet payable invoices promptly and accurately. Directs shop employees to maintain a clean and safe work environment and keep tools, equipment and work areas secured, organized and in good working condition. May perform basic administrative and clerical functions, which could include filing, copying, binding reports, simple typing, etc. Any and all other duties assigned.
