About The Position

The Shop Assistant supports daily shop and warehouse operations by maintaining equipment, assisting with facility buildouts, handling materials, and keeping the work environment clean, safe, and organized. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a proactive, go-getter attitude to support management and ongoing projects.

Requirements

1+ years of experience working in shop environment preferred
Hi-lo/forklift experience a plus
Must be highly mechanically inclined
Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting
Excellent communication skills
Basic computer skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to receive constructive criticism
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Hi-lo/forklift experience a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain warehouse including restoring and painting equipment, fixtures, racking, and other various surfaces by applying proper painting techniques (primarily brush and roll method).
Office and warehouse buildout including construction of warehouse racking systems, mounting of fixtures.
General organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, trucks, toolboxes, equipment, and overall presentation of grounds.
Load, unload, and clean trucks that come into the shop in a safe and efficient manner.
Gather materials, as needed, for upcoming & ongoing projects.
Pick up and deliver parts and supplies per shop manager direction.
Routine maintenance on equipment and trucks such as filling with gas and checking fluids.
Communicate with upper management when items in the shop need replenishing, repairing, or replacing.
Have a go-getter attitude to help management with tasks as needed.
Willing to quickly move through repetitive and routine tasks.
