About The Position

At Design Build Fire Protection (a sister company to Ryan Fireprotection, Inc), we take pride in leading the fire protection industry with a focus on quality, safety, and collaboration. Our shop plays a critical role in our success, and we’re looking for a hardworking, reliable individual to join our team. Help keep our Shop running smoothly! The Shop Assistant supports daily shop operations while also playing a key role in inventory control, organization, shipping and receiving, and building maintenance.

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction, metalworking, or a related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Must pass a drug screening & motor vehicle check

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage inventory of materials and parts
• Handle shipping and receiving of materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work environment
• Perform basic facility maintenance and upkeep
• Support local deliveries and pickups for the service department using company vehicles
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and material handling
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace
