About The Position

The Sewell Family of Companies is seeking a full-time Shop Assistant to join our service team. The Shop Assistant role involves various tasks such as valeting vehicles, accepting tow-ins, maintaining cleanliness in the shop, test driving vehicles, and assisting technicians. This entry-level position is ideal for responsible, active, and energetic candidates looking for a full-time schedule and willing to contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
Background and drug screening
Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

Cleans the service and shop bay areas
Helps track trucks and vehicles by recording customer's name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage
Maintains a clean and safe service drive and shop area, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow, etc.
Drives customers to their homes or places of business or delivers vehicles to guests as needed
Uses good judgment and safe driving skills
Operates radio or similar device to communicate with the dealership team
Cleans service waiting area
Empties and cleans all trash receptacles
Moves replaced parts to be recycled or returned to parts department
Cleans shop floors by operating zamboni machine
Maintains equipment by doing required maintenance and upkeep on lift systems and large tool systems
Maintains a professional discretion
Able to work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor)
Keeps a friendly attitude while providing quality customer service for all guests
