About The Position

The Shop Asset Coordinator is responsible for the management, maintenance, and tracking of all assets within the shop or workshop environment. This role oversees a team of tool crib attendants and works closely with operations, maintenance, and procurement to ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available, maintained, and compliant with safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include asset logistics, inventory management, vendor coordination, and documentation to support internal operations and auditing requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in industrial warehouse/facility.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience driving forklifts up to 50,000 lbs.
  • Proficient computer skills specifically Microsoft Suite and Inventory tracking software.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas equipment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to set priorities and take initiative.
  • Ability to improvise when a situation requires.
  • Good communication skills with internal and external contacts.
  • The ability to perform majority job duties outdoors.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage tool crib attendants, overseeing completion of daily, weekly, and quarterly tasks.
  • Manage and maintain equipment staging areas, including fluid management, propane, fuel, raw materials, and company -owned equipment.
  • Oversee consumables inventory; initiate and submit restocking requests for managerial approval.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all locations housing shop assets and ensure alignment with operational needs.
  • Lead scheduled inspections of shop equipment and maintain accurate service and inspection records.
  • Coordinate scrap metal and trash bin logistics with vendors, ensuring timely pickup and drop off.
  • Ensure all fluid management areas are clean, labeled, compliant with environmental safety standards, and properly maintained to prevent spills.
  • Schedule and oversee third -party maintenance services, and report on completion and outcomes.
  • Assist with the loading, unloading, and internal movement or storage of assets according to designated layouts.
  • Maintain an up -to -date inventory management system to ensure real -time visibility and availability of assets.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with shop management and procurement to order new or replacement equipment and parts.
  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and track all calibrated equipment, ensuring proper certification and detailed records.
  • Process and track purchase requisitions and orders; collect received materials from the warehouse as needed.
  • Ensure assets are clean, functional, and regularly inspected for operational efficiency
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to fulfill asset -related requests in a timely manner.
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures as outlined in manuals and the employee handbook.
