About The Position

Bimbo QSR is a commercial bakery facility that produces bun/bread products to quick serve restaurants and distributed throughout the US. We are now hiring for production trainees working on a set shift. Bimbo QSR requires that all associates follow mandatory safety protocols Associates in the shipping training program generally work 40-48 hours per week with the possibility of some overtime. There are two facilities (Airport and EastPointe) and production trainees will be required to work shifts at each plant. Shipping trainees can bid of Full Time positions (position, shift and pay rate) after successfully completing the 60 days probationary period. Full Time bids are awarded to the successful bidder by seniority and qualifications. HOURLY PAY RATE is $21.95 Uniforms are provided after 60 days. Forklift experience preferred. 1-3 years Physical requirements consist of: pushing/pulling/Lifting and carrying 75lbs or more, standing for an entire shift, bending, stooping, squatting and climbing stairs/ladders. Must be able to work around heights and some positions require the ability to operate a forklift safely (Certification Test is required) All new associates are evaluated and must successfully complete the 60-days probationary period. This includes being dependable with excellent attendance, perform all jobs safely and be an engaged associate willing to learn. You must join the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco & Grain Miller Workers International Union Local no. 57 and will have to pay a $100 initiation fee in the first 60 days and then $45 per month union dues.
