The Shipping department communicates with on-site Production Managers and other company manufacturing locations, Builders, and Project Managers to ensure on-time delivery of product. The Traffic & Shipping Coordinator coordinates shipments with Builders, secures dependable freight carriers, estimates freight rates, and maintains good customer relations with freight carriers, Builders and Project Managers. The coordinator also completes necessary paperwork to fulfill job requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Shipping or Traffic
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: College degree
- 1 year of experience in Shipping or Traffic role
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous flow of truckload completions and paperwork through all shifts and weekends, as necessary
- Coordinate shipments with Builders
- Secure dependable freight carriers
- Estimate freight rates
- Interact with internal customers
