About The Position

Shipping Specialist Essential Duties / Responsibilities Process parts and creates shipping documents and PO’s for parts shipping to customer and outside processing Responsible for packaging and banding of outgoing items Calls and schedules all trucks needed to pick up for the day Reorders expendable inventory, boxes, bags, tape, all supplies needed for part making/chemical etching Works with quality to get customer shipment processed in a timely manner Part Mark, bag and tag, scribe, and chemical etching when needed Shipping and outside process tags to be scanned in the 6 pack or log by the end of each day Works independently Prepares shipping documents  Packages products using packing matrix Operates a forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store parts Establishes and maintains safety operations by adhering to procedures and policies Completes housekeeping around work areas as assigned Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Work independently with the ability to prioritize work tasks The ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions Ability to read and understand work instructions, documents, correspondence and memos. Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English Must be flexible Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Must be able to multi-task, have a positive attitude and handle pressure under deadlines in a professional manner Must have excellent attendance and be dependable The ability to follow FIFO Ability to travel back and forth between shop and warehouse Lift up to 50 lbs and move 35 lbs throughout the day Must be extremely organized Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Experience operating a Hi-lo Hi-lo license preferred but, will train the right individual Excellent attendance record Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or the ability to learn Ability to work with hands and excellent eye/hand coordination Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Work Environment: Clean manufacturing facility Standing/walking 90% of the scheduled shift Safety gear, such as approved safety glasses, are required at all times Lifting up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
