About The Position

The Shipping Room Operator selects products to be loaded onto trucks for delivery to our Publix stores. This includes: loading and unloading trailers, operating a palletizer and tow motor and records inventory paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Additional responsibilities include: maintains and cleans equipment in work area performs team assignments other duties as assigned

Requirements

• must be at least 18 years old
• willingness to obtain forklift license after training
• willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
• ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more frequently
• ability to pull 180-200 pounds across a slick surface
• ability to bend, reach, pull, carry, and lift continuously
• willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks and duties as assigned
• ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended amount of time
• must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• basic math skills
• excellent communications skills; both verbal and written
• ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• ability to work well with others and be a team player
