About The Position

Supervises the Shipping/Receiving department for assigned location. Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes in Shipping/Receiving systems and procedures to ensure the timely receiving and delivery of materials and products.

Requirements

• Familiarity with inventory and/or operations management procedures and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in relevant area.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• APICS Certification preferred.
• Manufacturing and supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Shipping/Receiving department, assigns work, and maintains team commitment to continuous improvement and support of internal and external customers to ensure the timely receiving and delivery of materials and products.
• Reviews department procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Proposes changes and follows through on successful implementation.
• Composes and maintains work instructions for departmental operations.
• Ensures that all personnel are trained in updated work instructions, processes, and safety procedures.
• Specifies and recommends the purchase of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Coordinates maintenance and calibration.
• Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
• Ensures the accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions.
• Completes other projects as assigned.
