About The Position

MicroCare, LLC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join their team in Denver. MicroCare is a global provider of infection prevention fluids and tools for medical, dental, and veterinary industries, known for prioritizing environmental responsibility and innovation. This full-time position, located in Denver, Colorado, operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. The specialist will be responsible for order fulfillment, shipping finished goods, tracking inventory, and receiving raw materials. Key aspects of the role include maintaining compliance with DOT and IATA shipping regulations and working safely in accordance with OSHA statements.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent organization skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of shipping & receiving experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents i.e., shipping labels, packing slips and bills of lading
  • Ability to operate all warehouse equipment, including standup and sit-down forklifts
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must have basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of UPS/FedEx and LTL shipping software
  • Inventory management experience
  • Experience shipping hazardous materials
  • Familiar with DOT and IATA shipping regulations
  • Train the trainer- Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders submitted for shipment to ensure accurate carrier, address, shipping payment method and advise if any discrepancies.
  • Pick products from finished goods inventory off Work Order and advise customer service of any issues with stock.
  • Prepare products for either a small package carrier or on a skid for an LTL carrier based on specification from customer or MicroCare “best way” assessment.
  • Apply DOT and IATA shipping regulations and assign proper classification of materials based on shipment method.
  • Provide shipping quotations as needed to Customer Relations department.
  • Verify accuracy of inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed with propane powered forklift.
  • Receive products from vendors and verify accuracy of packing list.
  • Utilize UPS/Fed-Ex shipping software along with LTL shipping software to process shipments.
  • Review and comply with ISO quality procedures for shipping/receiving.
  • In association with Director of Logistics, works with carriers to ensure best pricing for freight contracts.
  • Attend company provided Haz-Mat training required every three years.
  • Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participate in company safety trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
