About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is a full-time, year-round position responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments for the NOC Gatlinburg Great Outpost Store. This role ensures accurate processing of retail inventory, while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. Reporting directly to the Gatlinburg Store Manager, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in communication and loss prevention.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail receiving preferred; Lightspeed POS experience a plus.
• Familiarity with UPS and FedEx systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Quick to learn POS and inventory systems through hands-on training.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs safely; comfortable on ladders and standing for long periods.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license; available for 40-hour workweeks and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Receive and process all shipments, including FedEx, UPS, and freight deliveries.
• Accurately process incoming retail inventory and store-to-store transfers.
• Pack and ship Ecommerce orders promptly and professionally.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and logs for both retail locations.
• Drive product between Bryson City, Asheville, and Gatlinburg locations as needed.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and optimized for efficiency.
• Collaborate with store management on layout and loss prevention strategies.
• Communicate and resolve shipment discrepancies with vendors and the buying team.
