Requirements

  • One to three years of professional work experience in a similar Material Handler position
  • The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • The ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • The ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, and sideloader equipment
  • Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of previous experience operating a forklift in a professional environment
  • One year of previous experience in a Shipping and Receiving or Distribution position
  • The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
  • The ability to work outside most of the time in a variety of weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate any special handling required as a result of inspection
  • Collect Mil Reading and ensure coatings meet ASTM Standards
  • Help with scale and shipping and receiving yards
  • File clean and touch up any quality issue noticed before shipping
  • Operate forklift, straddle truck, mobile crane, overhead crane, and sideloader equipment
  • Identify materials or products being loaded and unloaded
  • Operate equipment and machinery in a safe, secure, and productive manner
  • Make recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment
