About The Position

A valued client in the food manufacturing and cold-storage warehousing industry is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee shipping/receiving operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and lead dock personnel in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in shipping/receiving on semi-truck loading docks
• Experience with ERP/inventory management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks (manual & automated)
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unassisted and work in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F
• Strong English communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead in dynamic environments
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed

Nice To Haves

• Freezer warehouse supervisory experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dock operations, including pickers, material handlers, and carrier appointments
• Ensure accurate verification and recording of all inbound/outbound shipments using ERP/MRP systems
• Oversee inventory counts, FIFO practices, and lot tracking accuracy
• Monitor safe dock traffic, trailer temperatures, and proper loading procedures
• Perform weight checks and Lockout/Tagout as required
• Identify and report safety hazards or unsafe behaviors
• Train and support crew members; allocate staffing efficiently
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, and SQF compliance at all times
