About The Position

The Materials and Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and goods within a company's supply chain operations. Responsible for coordinating the procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes, this role requires meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills. The Materials and Logistics Coordinator liaises with suppliers, internal teams, and transportation providers to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and meet production schedules. From managing purchase orders to overseeing warehouse operations, this position is integral to maintaining efficient logistics operations and supporting overall business objectives. Create stations for OSS and LEAP material and logistics areas: Incoming deliveries. Outgoing material. Distribution to shop floor. Receive deliveries (OSS) Off load parts or containers from trucks as necessary. Inspect received material documentation for compliance and physical condition for shipping damage. Identify new, used, or repaired parts. Assign parts received to designated work order in Quantum and place on distribution to shop floor station. Input excess material (if any) into inventory system and place in designated inventory location. Outgoing material (OSS) Review documentation for material at outgoing station. Confirm completion of instructions (vendor repair, ship to MTU network, ship to customer). Confirm ready to ship and participate in shipping process as back up for Logistics Coordinator. Load parts or containers on outgoing trucks. Distribution to shop floor (OSS) Any parts available, must pull from stock and deliver to workstations. Deliver parts for work orders to designated workstations. Receive deliveries (LEAP) (RBS & Fuel Nozzle Project) Receive project kits. Inspect for proper documentation and shipping damage. Enter customer kits into Quantum per work order. Place received kits in designated inventory location identified by customer. Deliver requested kits to designated workstations. Collect removed material per engine. Audit removed material availability and qty per engine and prep for shipment. Arrange for shipping removed material back to customer or OEM. Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related role within materials management, logistics, procurement, or supply chain management is desired.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, practices, and standards related to materials management and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, inventory management software, and logistics management platforms.
  • This position involved pushing, pulling, standing, walking, fine motor manipulation, bending/stooping, etc.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
