About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE: Working under the direction of Plant Leadership, liaison for overseeing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, while occasionally communicating with supply personnel, customer support specialist, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Will schedule and direct the tasks and functions of the Shipping and Receiving team. Ensure the timely shipment of orders, quality of work, prioritizing as needed to satisfy specific service requests. • As a working lead, receive, pull, package, and ship orders of various sizes as applicable along with putting away items released from production. • Coordinates work to maximize efficiency. Monitor compliance with the laws and policies governing the storage and shipment of hazardous materials. Monitor compliance with the work instructions established for use at Ricca Chemical Company. • Will assist in training both new and existing employees in policies, work instructions, and regulations governing the storage and shipment of products. • Schedule and conduct daily, weekly, monthly inspections and audits. • Monitor the rotation and care for Finished Goods and storage practices of products requiring special conditions. • Removal of product from inventory as needed following established Work Instructions. • Working with the Operations Manager will monitor and communicate Freight issues to Plant Leadership. • Point of contact to obtain a WHMIS part # for a Canada order, and liaison to Customer Support for coding of order questions and rush shipments. • Creates, revises, and corrects BOL’s. • Assists in non-technical investigations, returned Goods/Material Process. Investigates delayed shipments, missing freight, warehouse transfer errors and fixes allocation issues, monitors and addresses shipping exception emails. • Ensure compliance to Routing Guides both internally and externally. • Ensure daily that floors remain free of trash including, but not limited to, loose caps, empty bottles, cardboard, standing water, and other debris daily, to include all work areas within scope of responsibility are always kept in a neat and orderly manner. • Assist in writing and implementing new or changed procedures. • Assist with employee safety, CGMP, MRB’s, and ISO quality management system training. • Consistently meets/exceeds standards assigned within the Functional Training Document (FTD) program. • Any other tasks deemed necessary. • Commitment to the organization’s values; High Standards, Bias for Action, Teamwork, Customer Obsession, Trust, Accountability, Innovation and Growth & Learning. Requirements

  • A minimum high school diploma (high degree advantageous), verifiable knowledge of shipping and/or logistics procedures.
  • Proven experience of at least four (4) years in a Shipping lead role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including experience with Excel skills with the ability to summarize data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
