About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Handler 2 is responsible for managing the flow of materials and products within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading shipments, packaging and labeling goods, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory. The role requires proficiency in using warehouse management systems and effective communication with internal teams and external transportation carriers.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to lift and move boxes, packages, and materials.
  • Ability to drive forklifts and build pallets and crates.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in warehouse management systems (Avante).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Training and certification may be provided on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments including headers and other components.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • Build crates and pallets for secure transportation.
  • Organize and store products in the warehouse.
  • Operate equipment including auto saw, table saw, hand saw, circular saw, and nail gun.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Avante systems.
  • Communicate effectively with production team members and transportation carriers.
  • Perform quality checks and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support other warehouse operations as needed.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives.
