About The Position

Shipping/Receiving Crew responsibilities include but are not limited to loading
& unloading trucks, storing materials, picking, palletizing, and scanning
orders. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management. Responsible for
understanding Daily’s GMP’s and safety policies.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Must be computer literate and able to learn new computer programs quickly
• Ability to conduct inventories correctly
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and loading/unloading of trucks
• Know proper and common procedures for loading trucks
• Ability to read, write and speak English is vital to allow communication with drivers, customers, and shipping companies
• Strong communication skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages
• Must be able to lift and carry at least up to 50 pounds consistently
• Standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day on concrete and wet surfaces
• Visual abilities required for this job include close and distance vision
• Must be able to wear all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position while working
• Must be able and willing to work varying hours and overtime due to operational requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced skills with forklifts and electric pallet jacks preferred

Responsibilities

• Palletize and organize loads for shipment using correct stacking order.
• Ensure accuracy of each pallet and entire load
• Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork including bills of lading and invoices
• Ensure trucks are loaded in correct order for LTL transit, first stop loaded last, etc.
• Responsible for large quantities of product. Must be always honest and ethical to avoid unnecessary losses
• Assist in weekly, monthly, and year-end inventories and maintains accurate counts
• Rotates to related duties within the Shipping department
• Keep warehouse area clean and well organized.
• Uses wireless handheld scanner for accurate inventory reporting and recordkeeping
• Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead
• Follow Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules
• Follow Daily’s Good Manufacturing Processes
• Follow Daily’s Safety Guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook
• Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily’s business objectives
