About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee warehouse operations, including product shipping, receiving, inventory transactions, and maintaining an organized, company-managed warehouse.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience.
1–2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics roles, preferably within animal nutrition, agriculture, or related industries.
Understanding of warehouse management principles.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and quality control skills.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high-volume tasks efficiently.
Team-oriented mindset, valuing collaboration for overall success.
Forklift operation certification.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as required.
Strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
Use of protective equipment, including dust masks, rubber gloves, and breathing apparatus as needed.
Mandatory use of eye and ear protection.
Compliance with company-provided safety boot requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office and Bestmix ERP Suite.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and quantities.
Update inventory systems in real-time to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient order fulfillment.
Perform routine inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy.
Efficiently stage loads for Feed Delivery Drivers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Process customer orders promptly, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and packing lists for outgoing orders.
Conduct thorough quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify and report damaged or substandard products, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
Optimize storage layouts to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to minimize handling time and enhance safety.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements, to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, promoting proper storage practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
Work closely with procurement, production, and transportation teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Provide regular inventory updates and communicate potential issues to team members and supervisors.
Assist with production and the bagging line when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
